Though nowadays, most people practice tai chi chuan for health, it is in fact an authentic, highly developed ‘internal’ martial art, where almost every movement of the form has at least one martial application.

But just practicing the form by yourself, will not enable you to apply the martial applications in real combat situations. To achieve this objective, will require extensive practice of these applications with a wide variety of different sized partners.
