Yijin Jing Qigong (Muscle and Tendon Transformation Qigong) is an effective method to facilitate healing through deep relaxation, regain vitaility and robustness and increasing innner power and strength. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Over time it can transform even the smallest framed individual into a healthy and strong person. In this course we will cover the Xiongshi method which is focusing on the body development for martial arts. It is closely following the authentic Yijin Jing principles in combination with Zhan Zhuang Gong (Standing Pole Exercises).
The Yijin Jing is my personal favourite Qigong practice. When you develop this practice to a high level, the Yijin Jing can transform even the smallest framed individual into a healthy and strong person capable of incredible feats of strength and willpower. The Xiongshi Yijin Jing was specifically created to develop a strong constitution for martial arts.
The practice is to further ones skill in many aspects e.g. health or martial arts, sensitivity to Qi, for self-cultivation and awareness, as well as harmony with nature and the natural way. Throughout that journey we will observe the transformation and welcome the beneficial change in our body, mind and spirit.
This course is an accelerated version which introduces the 8 main postures and focuses mainly on the correct postural alignment in each position.

What is the Yijin Jing?
The original Yijin Jing is Damo’s solution for cultivating body, mind and spirit simultaneously. The true strength of the body is expressed through the tendons, rather than the muscles. Tendons don’t just require much less maintenance and caloric fuel than building muscles, they also hold up their strength long term. The practice of transforming the muscles and other tissues to get a tendon-like quality, will make the entire body strong and robust. You will develop great health and cultivate an abundance of Qi. The practice of the Yijin Jing optimizes the body’s functions and helps you to develop a vital, springy and elastic property within the body.
The Xiongshi Yijin Jing, which we practice in this course, is attributed to the Xiong family. You will accumulate Qi in different areas of the body through moving (and staying) in ranges in which the tendons are most actively used. The various postures influence the nervous system and structure of the body. Through stretching (and relaxing) the muscles we will take them out of the equation and allow the Qi to build in the connective tissues (tendons).
